Music lesson studio policy –revised 2022
 
CANCELLATION POLICY
 If a student has to cancel due to illness or a school activity, I will need at least 24 hour notice of the absence.  No credit or makeup will be given for lessons missed without notice or for no-shows.  Same day notice for absences are ok only in the case of illness.  If I must cancel a lesson due to illness or a performance opportunity, I will do my best to reschedule that same week.  If I am unable to do so, I will give a credit of one lesson for the following month.
Payments every month are based off of 4 week months.  When there are 5^th weeks in a month, we will use that “extra” lesson to either take it off or move it to the next month and take a week off.   This allows for some time off for Holidays and flexibility in the summer, and allows for consistency in payments.   I will communicate that with the parent on each of those situations. 
Permanent cancellation will require one month notice to allow me time to fill in that spot. 
 
RATES
My standard fee for a 30 minute lesson is $100 a month. ($25 per lesson) Payments are made on a monthly basis.

Music Therapy-$50 per 45 minute session.   (includes use of instruments, technology, documentation, collaboration with other health providers, etc.) 
 
LATE PAYMENT POLICY
Money is due the first scheduled lesson of the month.    If you know you are going to be absent that day, then money needs to come in ahead of time or sent in by mail that week.  
Payments that do not arrive to me the week of the first SCHEDULED lesson time of the month, will be charged a $5.00 late fee.    Checks can be mailed to my home address: 23445 Humming Bird Ave. Mattawan, MI 49071.    Thank you for your understanding.
